A double drum hoist, for lifting of Concrete & Persons.
Question:
We want to buy a hoist for lifting of material, concrete bucket, manpower to a height of 100 meters for construction of Bridge Piers in North east of India. People will also will go upto top with the hoist . The hoist is a self wire guided ropes double drum winch. can you guide what is the HP of motor to be needed.

Dear Parthasarathy,
For estimating HP of motor (i) total weight of concrete with bucket and nos. of persons to be lifted (ii) the speed of hoisting is required.
