crane vertical deflection
Question:
which IS code is used for vertical deflection (l/900) of crane? Is there any derivation for the above formula?

The vertical deflection of cranes have been mentioned in IS 807. Vertical deflection is basically dependent on Span of the crane. There is no formula, as such, for this.

If you are using IS 807 : 2006, you will find it in clause no. 20 at pg. no. 42.
